Black Metal

The Black Metal is a musical genre emerged during the decade of the 80 mainly in Europe. It is characterized by extreme sound, fast and atmospheric. The guitars are usually distorted in a saturated and played with great speed melodic figures based on the continuous plotting, but combining acoustic arpeggios and passages, which aims to create emotions and sinister. Battery rhythmic continuous use involve the use of double bass and blast beats, with rapid and constant. The voices in this genre are guttural and sharp, piercing screams and combining clean vocal parts that may even appear declaimed. Some bands also use synthesizers or other instruments to the orchestration, which typically involves a dark atmospheric sound even close to symphonic music.

An important feature of Black Metal are the lyrical themes and aesthetic, geared toward the occult, satanism, paganism, and every kind of rhetoric against the established religions, and moral rules of society itself. The visual aspect is of paramount importance in the genre. Many of the musicians wear makeup, often known as "corpse painting", which tries to simulate the pale face and a decrepit corpse. The black color is central to his aesthetic, as the name of the genus as proposed. Night, forest, cold and other images are consistent in their paraphernalia. Like any genre of metal, there are many mergers and styles within it, making it very diverse, from primitive bands of black, with a sound Heavy / Thrash as Venom, Bathory, Celtic Frost and sarcophagus, to the movement of Norwegian Black Metal, with an extreme sound, with bands like Mayhem, Emperor, Burzum, Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved, Immortal and Satyricon, and the bands of other geographic locations that have diversified as Cradle Of Filth, Dissection, Samael, Moonspell, Anorexia Nervosa or Primordial.
